- Louis: pronounced Loo-ee (sp), was in the business of delivering fuel oil to houses, farmers, equipment for many years.
Louis used to deliver to our farm in Mequon, usually once a month. He brought gasoline and oil for the farm equipment.
Louis (always the jokester) used to tease me that he wanted to take me with him in his big delivery truck back to his house because he didn't have a little boy. One time later, when he was delievering gasoline, I took an empty suit case and jumped into the truck cab and said I was ready to move in with him. He was a bit shocked, stumbled with his words and said that I couldn't go with him.... company rules you know. That was the last time he teased me about living with him.
